For the 2008 and 2009 seasons, Tim and Karen traveled with URC and attended Phoenixville on a regular basis. Though they loved both organizations, Tim’s “day job” took them to Carlinville, IL in the middle of the 2010 season. Though Tim and Karen had to say goodbye to URC and Phoenixville, it would not be the end of their tenure as dirt racing photographers. They started shooting for the Bunker Hill Quarter Midget club on a weekly basis, while Tim made the rounds to various Midwest dirt shows. In the off-season, Tim and Karen were offered the positions of the official photographers for the Jacksonville Speedway as well as MOWA, the newly formed Midwest Open Wheel Association. Jacksonville Speedway is located at the Morgan County Fairgrounds in Jacksonville, Illinois. Jacksonville is approximately 25 miles West of Springfield, Illinois on I-72. The speedway in Jacksonville has been the center of dirt track racing in West Central Illinois for well over a half century and over the course of the past few decades has proven to be the premier facility for winged sprint car racing in Illinois. In 2010 Jacksonville Speedway will return to being the only track in Illinois to host a weekly winged sprint car series.
